Apples are one of my favorite fall foods. There are so many uses for them, that I rarely find myself eating an apple plain. I've always loved different types of apple chips as a healthy snack through the day. Making my own took no time at all - and they last for a day or two afterwards in an airtight container.
1 golden apple
2 cups water
1 tsp brown sugar
Let's Get Started!
1. Slice the apple into thin slices.
2. Soak the slices in a bowl with the water, sugar, cinnamon (if used), and vanilla extract for ~15 min.
3. Lay the apple slices on a cooling rack. I had to do this process twice in a toaster oven.
4. Bake at 350F for 30 min on the middle rack. Turn off the heat and let the apple slices sit in the oven for ~10 min without heat.
