I'm not a huge fan of brightly color clothing, and large bracelets/necklaces always seem to get in my way. So when I want to spice up my outfit with a pop of color or cute pattern, I always turn to hair bows.
I absolutely adore hair bows. They're quick, simple, and can easily add a girly touch to any look. I like to keep mine clipped to an old belt that I have hanging near my mirror, so I can easily grab one on my way out the door.
My hair bows are DIY projects and from American Apparel.

Here's three ways I wear my hair bows!
1. Half-Up Braid
Like many half-up hairdos, this can be used for less casual occasions, but adds a girly vibe to the look.
4. Add a hair bow above the first elastic and you're done!
2. Side Braid
This is the quickest and easiest - perfect for those days when you're late to school.
3. Braided Bun
When I'm wearing a scarf, turtleneck, or hoodie, I like to get my hair away from my neck. This is my favorite - it's simple and quick way to make your lazy day look cute.
1. Tie hair into a high ponytail. 3. Taking one braid, wrap around the base of the ponytail and secure into place with bobby pins. | 2. Split the ponytail into two, and braid each half, tying off with an elastic. 4. Repeat with the other braid but in the opposite direction. Make sure to secure the tips of both braids. |
5. Add a hair bow right below the bun. To tame any flyaways and hold the bun in place, spritz on some hairspray, and you're done!
