One of the most important aspects of my room, both at home and uni, is that I make it mine. I choose it, I decorate it, and I make it. Although they take time, home DIY's are my favorite - they are things you look at and use every day, and can feel proud that you made it just the way you want. A woven rug is great craft for a relaxing day of movie marathons. This reclaimed wood headboard gives the room a beach cottage-like feel. A makeover for a metal lawn chair is a fun way to welcome the summer BBQ's. I'm completely in love with this hanging table. My bike is important at uni, so why not give it a fresh coat of paint? When I think summer flowers, I think dandelions, sunflowers, and daisies. A colorful combination of bright colors is a fun way to decorate for the sunnier weather. But there's something about simple white daisies that I just love. Although I started out with a pop of purple, when I was arranging the white daisies, I fell in love with the simplicity. I did add a bit of the lavender asters, but I'm thinking I like the daisies are their own. Smile c:
~michelle Since I recently rearranged furniture around my room, I freed up a large space on the wall. I moved my photos to the wall in my DIY Heart Photo Collage, leaving my bulletin board quite empty. I had a few postcards, sketches, and cards laying around, so with some twine and cute clothespins, I hung them up. It was super simple and easy - a quick DIY project. [The Disney drawings above the board were part of a care package from my best friend. She painted them on the flaps of the box - aren't they amazing?] Materials:Let's Get Started! And You're Done!Smile c:
