For smaller DIY projects such as hair bows or home accessories, I like to buy fabric online, primarily on Etsy. It's definitely pricier than fabric stores such as Jo-Ann's, but there are so many more patterns and designs that are just so cute! Since each project requires very little fabric, I usually buy swatches or 1/4yds, which are very affordable. These colorful birds give a nice contrast to the beige background. The orange patterns are a great way to transition into the brighter colors of spring and summer. Imperfect designs like this give a more relaxed feel to geometric patterns. Geometric shapes and colorful patterns like this are just so adorable! Who doesn't love hedgehogs? The unique combination of colors gives the everyday object a brand new look. This handprinted fabric would be so cute to use as home decor. This is such a cute twist on the classic chevron design. Spring is the perfect time for lovely floral patterns. And just for fun, this fabric makes my inner nerd jump for joy. I'm seriously considering making a dress out of this. Smile c:

I love interior design. I find it absolutely fascinating that someone can create a masterpiece out of everyday items that you can use everyday around the house. Isn't this rug incredible? It would look amazing in a white themed room. I love these open cabinets - it gives the small kitchen a more spacious appearance. This outdoor patio set is so beautiful! It provides a calming environment to just relax outside. The fact that this costs only about $25 to make adds to the brilliant idea of avoiding late night run-ins with the drying rack. DIY by Centsational Girl. I used to have a similar bookshelf from IKEA. Cubed bookshelves like this one give a very clean feel while allowing compartmentalization of books and random fun stuff. Adding washi tape to a doorway is such an easy and adorable way to bring a pop of color to a room. DIY by A Beautiful Mess. I adore this combination of white wood and navy. A breakfast bar is a clever way to maximize space in a small kitchen. I fell in love with this wall the first time I saw it. It just adds a cute pop of color and pattern to a white kitchen. My dream home can't be complete without a reading nook. The natural lighting of this one sets up such a relaxing environment to get lost in my books. I hope you're inspired! Smile c:
~michelle As spring approaches, I love changing up my wardrobe with new pieces. But as a college student, my budget only goes so far - that's where DIY comes in handy. I have a simple chambray shirt that's been sitting in my closet for a while. In the fall, it worked very nicely with knit sweaters and boots, but as spring comes, I wanted to change it up a bit. Since the shirt has white pearly buttons, I used small pearls to decorate the collar and give the shirt a simple, but cute touch. Materials:Let's get started!
And you're done!Adding an embellishment is a quick and easy way to turn an old shirt into something new and cute! DIY gives you the freedom to add whatever you choose, giving you the chance to personalize your favorite piece of clothing. I hope you enjoyed DIYing with me!
