Mendocino Farms is a small chain of sandwich and salad restaurants. The store itself has such a nice personality with the handwriting walls. There was even a Foosball table in the center of the restaurant [the guys definitely loved that!].

One of the best parts of living in a traditional dorm is the fun trips with the floormates. Our building was incredible enough to offer a free dinner at Mendocino Farms and dessert at Sprinkles Cupcakes! Mendocino Farms is a small chain of sandwich and salad restaurants. The store itself has such a nice personality with the handwriting walls. There was even a Foosball table in the center of the restaurant [the guys definitely loved that!]. We headed to the Sprinkles Cupcake store across the plaza afterwards. It was almost closing time, so the display was beginning to have empty sections. Our purchase helped clear them of all the regular sized cupcakes, leaving behind a small tray of minis behind. Smile c:

One of my favorite parts of spring is the emergence of beautiful pastel colors. Mint, of course, is at the top of that list. As a rather light color, it pairs beautifully with creams, corals, and other pastels. This mint green dress with lace daisies just perfectly summarizes spring. I can just imagine a lovely dress or top made of this dotted fabric. Toss a few magazines into this wire basket to add a pop of color to any room. This deer antler rack is a such clever way to hang jewelry! Add a little charm to your cupcakes with this mint and gold toppers. This gorgeous drawstring trench coat is at the top of my "to buy" list. Fossil watches, like this one in mint leather, are always my favorite. This colorful floral hair comb is an adorable combination of antique and spring. A delicate necklace like this one made of Swarovski beads gives a gentle touch to any outfit. This simple print would be a fun addition to any room. Since spring's almost here, it's time to pack away the nude sweaters and bring out the colorful pastels!
Smile c: ~michelle Going to school in Los Angeles definitely has its perks - primarily the beaches. But Santa Monica also has an incredible Third Street Promenade, lined with blocks of shopping leading up to a full sized mall. There's a lot of great food to try out, street performances to watch, and topiary to enjoy. After a week of exams, I joined some of my friends for a day of food and shopping. We had delicious Thai food (the roasted duck noodle soup was so amazing!) and worked it all off walking up and down the promenade. I finally got to see one of those really cool sidewalk chalk drawings. And of course, the trip ended with an obligatory trip to the Disney store (I absolutely love the decoration of the Disney store - it just looks so magical!) The beach and pier are so much fun, the shopping center is incredible, and everything looks amazing!
